About

Tyson Sloan tattoos out of Parlor Suites on East Broad Street, in a private room rather than an open shop floor. He grew up in Marysville and has been building a client base across central Ohio since — a lot of the work on this page came from people who drove in from Union County.

The work leans traditional and neo-traditional: solid black line, dot and whip shading, and color when the piece calls for it. Tributes and pet portraits done in a traditional style are a specialty.

Every appointment is one person, one room, start to finish. No walk-in traffic through the space while you're under the needle.

What to expect

  • Send your idea first

Placement, rough size, and any reference you have. A photo of the spot on your body helps more than anything.
  • You get a drawing, not a stencil off the internet

Custom art for your piece, sized to the body part it's going on.
  • Pricing is by the piece, not the hour

You know the number before the machine turns on.
  • Bring your ID

State-issued photo ID required, no exceptions. 18 and over.

Rates

Priced per piece by size, placement, and detail. You get a quote before you book, and it doesn't move after that.

$80

Shop minimum. Covers the smallest pieces. This is the floor, not a starting estimate for larger work.

$50

Deposit to hold your date. It comes off the final price of the tattoo. Reschedule with 48 hours' notice and it moves with you.

You'll hear back with a quote and open dates. The $50 deposit is due once you pick a date, not now.

Aftercare

Follow this and it heals the way it looked the day you got it. Most of what goes wrong happens in the first week.

  • Leave the wrap on as long as you're told

Second-skin bandages stay on for a few days. Plastic wrap comes off in a few hours.
  • Wash it twice a day

Clean hands, lukewarm water, unscented soap. Pat dry with a paper towel, never a bath towel.
  • Thin layer of lotion

Unscented. A thick coat suffocates it and pulls ink out.
  • Don't pick or scratch

It will flake and itch around day four. Slap it if you have to, don't scratch it.
  • No pools, lakes, hot tubs or long soaks

Two weeks minimum. Showers are fine.
  • Keep it out of the sun

While it heals, and with sunscreen forever after. Sun is what fades a tattoo.

If something looks wrong — spreading redness, heat, or drainage after a few days — message Tyson and see a doctor. Free touch-ups within six months on anything that healed light, excluding hands, feet, and fingers.
